Experiment with ice

Room 14 did an ice experiment with ice. We tried many different ways to melt the ice. We tried rubbing the ice on our desks, holding the ice, squeezing it, leaving it alone and we passed it around too. Putting it in water rubbing the ice and holding it were the best because when you rub it there will be friction and heat made the ice melt faster. Moving around makes your body get hot and the heat in your body goes to the ice you’re holding and melts it faster. The friction is very hot, hot enough to melt the ice and dissolve it. Putting it into the water dissolves it to its former state. And blowing the ice moves it around and melts it at the same time. It moved around on the plate when you blew it and it dissolves into the water it’s already lost. Leaving it alone makes it melt on its own and it’s not faster than when you touch it. It’s all about the heat and temperature that melts the ice faster.
